Herman has been interested in drawing and painting since a very young age. But becoming an artist wasn’t considered a real profession by his parents, yet it was his greatest wish. <\/span><\/p>\n

He had to wait 40 year to become a painter. After studying graphic design and Fine Arts at the Pius X Institute and Sint Lucas Paviljoen in Antwerp, he began working as a graphic designer for the Christian Mutual Insurance Company. <\/span><\/p>\n

During his military service, he and a school friend adorned the walls of Fort IV in Mortsel with three large murals.<\/p>\n

He has been painting ever since and has exhibited his work since 1994, while also maintaining his position as artistic director at the Christian Mutual Insurance Company, the largest health insurance provider in Belgium, where he handled communications and advertising for 33 years.

In 2020, during the pandemic, he decided to change course, leaving his job, selling his house in Belgium, and moving to S\u00e9guret, France. <\/span><\/p>\n
